Without real sailing experience, I bought my first sailing boat – my current Trapper 500- six years ago after having succeeded the theoretical exams to get my official certificate of “Yachtsman”.
I sailed with my children outside Nieuwpoort in Belgium for daily trips only.
At several times I had the opportunity to be invited by the French Sail Magazine “Voiles Magasine” to participate at the election of the “Sail boat of the year”. This event was organized after the boat show of La Rochelle in France. It was a unique opportunity to sail on brand new sail boats and to discuss with nautical professionals like architects and shipyard managers. My best souvenir was the election of the Dufour 365. I was on board with all the jury and journalists, it was great.
My children are older now, having other centres of interest, so, without crew any more, it’s time for me to change and to reorient my sailing pleasure with cruises like the Jester Challenge.

RETIRED DUE TO TIME CONSTRAINTS
